Get involved in World Earth Day 2021

So, it’s here, World Earth Day, arguably every day should be Earth Day, however this is the one sole day designated to respecting, loving, reflecting and taking care for our planet. We can’t stress how important it is to continue your changes throughout the year, however World Earth Day provides an excellent opportunity to get kick started and build on your eco savvy lifestyle.

Despite the talk around ‘nature healing itself’ and the planet restoring whilst everyone is locked down in their homes, figures show that emissions are now actually back to pre-pandemic levels – not encouraging!

This year’s earth day theme is “Restore our Earth”.  Intended to remind us all that whilst we want to protect our planet, we also need a healthy earth to support our lives, health, and, ultimately, survival.

If you are not familiar with Earth Day, it is typically a US holiday marked on the 22nd April each year since its beginning in 1970.

The last year, especially, has taught us that the spread of deadly diseases and climate change is very much in front of our eyes and on all of our doorstops. No one is exempt and we MUST do our part to restore the Earth to its natural state and reduce our environmental impact before its too late.

Kathleen Rogers, president of EarthDay.org, told Vogue. “We are at the edge of a cliff — if we don’t act now to reduce carbon emissions, there will be no way back.” https://bit.ly/32boq0c

That speaks for itself, don’t you think?
