Lockdown... eco exit plan?

We’ve made it! We are finally there and what a year it’s been! To mark the 1 year anniversary of the UK lockdown period, we are looking at the fun activities you can get up to moving forward – and no it doesn’t include watching Netflix or any form of ‘zoom’ party!

  1. Sunshine walks – yes I know we’ve probably done a fair amount of walks during the last year, however with the implementation of the Christmas lockdown and the winter period, walks have been limited or not at all possible. What better then finding your local public footpaths and following them, enjoying the beautiful British countryside. Especially now we are into Spring, it’s the perfect time to take in what nature has to offer and enhance our appreciation for the planet we live on.
For you more hardcore adventurers, here’s our top three UK walks for the experienced hiker:
Helvellyn via Striding Edge walk, Lake District
Malham Cove and Gordale Scar walk, Yorkshire Dales
The Devil’s Punchbowl walk, Surrey Hills
  1. Rule of six! From the 29th March we can organise a small outdoor gathering with your besties, pour a glass of fizz, put some feel good music on and enjoy catching up with your closest friends- group environments are just what we’ve been waiting for! Plus, this is the perfect excuse to upcycle some of your cute summer outfits from pre lockdown!
Looking for some new organic alternatives to your favourite tipple?
Daylesford Organic Prosecco
Fatty’s Organic Gin
  1. If you are still not sure about meeting up with friends, why not take this time to spruce up your garden. Spring is here and soon your garden will start coming to life again. Why not plant some new flowers for the summer, invest in some new outdoor furniture or even treat yourself to some solar panelled outdoor fairy lights to make your garden that bit more magical? As they say, you should treat your garden like another room in your house!
How about you pull on your gardening gloves and planet some bee friendly plants?
or make your garden that bit more magical with some solar panelled fairy lights?
  1. Picnics in the park! Since March 29th, picnics in the park can expand to six people! What is more fun than gathering together with 5 others, all bringing some nibbles and your go-to beverage and relaxing and chatting in the sunshine! Make sure to bring your sun cream though – we hear its going to be a long hot summer!
